A training course dedicated to the theme of gender equality recently concluded at our Lendinara headquarters. A different course from the usual one, which chose the spiritual dimension as the interpretative key to explore balance, awareness and relationships. The lecturer was Melissa Dal Maso, Group Training & Development Specialist of Morato Group.
The objective? To overcome traditional gender categories and, through the metaphor of the two polarities – represented by Yin and Yang -, to show how each person can express multiple qualities, regardless of imposed gender roles and social conventions.
The result is a vision of gender equality as a dynamic balance that manifests itself in everyday interactions: in the ability to listen to and recognise the contribution of others, in giving space to different forms of expression, in the conscious handling of differences.
The course also focused on the everyday manifestations of inequality, emphasising languages, gestures, micro-behaviours and implicit dynamics that influence the quality of relationships in different contexts – business, educational and family. The importance of individual responsibility was emphasised in recognising automatisms, prejudices and asymmetries that often go unnoticed but which, over time, contribute to reinforcing imbalances and inequalities.
In the concluding part, participants worked together to consider how cultural change takes shape through small everyday gestures: conscious choices, new ways of listening, greater openness to the voice and contribution of the other. Spirituality, understood as presence and attention to what is happening inside and outside us, was presented as a useful tool to root this change in a stable and sustainable way.
The entire journey conveyed a unified vision of gender equality: not a division, but a process of integrating differences and complementarities. A journey that starts from each person’s inner balance and translates into the ability to build relationships based on respect, fairness and shared value.
