Received the Elite Certificate for Sustainability
At the event held at Le Jardins de Saint Dominique in Paris, together with other excellent Italian SMEs included in the Elite programme, Morato Group was awarded the ELITE Certificate on Sustainability, which is an important recognition for the company that measures itself against best practices for small and medium-sized private companies. The certificate was awarded based on requirements defined by ELITE in collaboration with academic and business partners in the field of Sustainability.
The mission of ELITE, launched by Borsa Italiana in 2012, is to support companies in long-term sustainable growth by accelerating the process of accessing capital, expertise and networking. ELITE integrates a calendar of workshops and coaching sessions with an offer of services and solutions for the company from a qualified network of partners and advisors, supporting entrepreneurs and executives in improving their skills and enhancing their strategic plan and business opportunities.
Marta Testi, CEO of ELITE:
“We are delighted to recognise Morato Group with the Certificate on Sustainability. Not only economic, but also environmental and social corporate responsibility has an impact on competitiveness, bringing benefits in terms of access to capital, cost and risk reduction, reputation improvement and value for employees, customers and stakeholders all. In this framework, finance represents a privileged channel to steer the entrepreneurial fabric towards a sustainable model, and as ELITE-Euronext Group we want to be proactive in supporting companies with concrete tools and solutions, which today are fundamental both in company development and in pursuing a competitive advantage”.
Stefano Maza, CEO Morato Group:
“We are really proud to receive the ELITE Sustainability Certificate, an important milestone that confirms the commitment, profused at the level of every corporate area, towards sustainable development. Attention to people, closeness to the territory and our communities, and safeguarding the environment represent the main guidelines on which our sustainability path has developed and which will continue to play a decisive role in the Morato Group’s agenda. Today, to make our sustainable actions even more effective, we have set up a Sustainability Committee composed of the top figures of our group. The committee will represent a strategic reference point for defining priorities and allocating resources, involving all our people in a path of awareness and sensitisation.”
